Spiritual Apostasy in America is 'Non-Denominationalism'! 05.21.08
What IS “Non-Denominational” Christianity…and who are these “Non-Denominational Christians” all about us? And why do they not want to join the Church or believe anything binding or solid to ground their faith, views and values in? Why not connect (Confirm) and join the Church that carries the graces and teachings of The Faith from ancient times? Do you really think that everything modern and streamlined is pleasing to the Lord Jesus or will get you into the eternal spiritual state of holy Heaven and the presence of God and His Spirit, in the presence of His Saints and Elders and Living Creatures (who are strange looking by our carnal-worldly concepts and perceptions)?
Therefore thus says the LORD;
"Ask among the nations—
Who has ever heard the like?
Truly horrible things has virgin Israel done!
Does the snow of Lebanon
Desert the rocky heights?
Do the rushing waters dry up
That flow fresh from the mountains?
Yet My people have forgotten Me:
They burn incense to a thing that does not exist.
They stumble out of their ways,
The paths of old, to travel on by paths,
Not the beaten track.
Their land shall be turned into a desert,
An object of lasting ridicule:
All passers-by will be amazed,
Will shake their heads.
Like the east wind, I will scatter them
Before their enemies;
I will show them My back, not My face,
In their day of disaster.” –God
(Jeremiah 18:13-17)
In Isaiah 65:8 God tells us that “new wine is found in the cluster”! And “the cluster” is not everyone who claims to be Christian all being “Non-Denominational”, not knowing what they believe or why and flittering about like all kinds of unanchored ships in the storm! Everyone to be safe needs to adhere to ‘Truth’ and know why they profess it!
And what of this thing spoken by God through Isaiah? “Now go, write it on a tablet before them and inscribe it on a scroll (in the Bible!), That it may be remembered in a time to come, as a witness forever. (The Bible is to be read “as a witness forever!”)
For this is a rebellious people and false children (claiming to belong to God), children who refuse to listen to the doctrines of the LORD; Who say to seers, “YOU MUST NOT SEE VISIONS’ And to prophets, “YOU MUST NOT PREACH TO US WHAT IS RIGHT, speak to us only pleasant words of ‘Pop-Psychology and happy, New Age Philosophies’ – Delusions for a modern, tantalizing, “Seeker Friendly” Christianity that will not offend us or our converts and disciples!
“GET OUT OF THE WAY, TURN ASIDE FROM THE PATH, LET US HEAR NO MORE ABOUT THIS HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL.” (Isaiah 30:8-11)
“To whom will He teach His knowledge and His ways? And to whom will He interpret what The Message really means? To those just weaned from the milk. Or from those only just weaned from the milk? From those only just taken from the breasts?
For God says, ‘Here a little and there a little, line upon line and instruction upon instruction.’ (A ‘little Bible lesson here’ and a ‘little Bible lesson’ there is not enough!)
Indeed God will speak to His people through stammering lips and through foreign tongues. (That means that ‘speaking-in-tongues’ is for teaching us God’s Holy Word!)
He said to them, ‘Here is spiritual rest, here is repose for your souls.’ But they will not listen even to the miraculous words about the secrets of Heaven that are revealed in the foreign tongues for interpretation, by the Holy Spirit (St. Jude 20-21).
So the Word of the LORD to them will only be, Doctrine upon Doctrine, order upon order, line upon line; but without the spiritual life promised to all those who truly know Him… that they may be go away from Him in their hearts and stumble, always backsliding, be broken, snared by the falsehoods of the Deceiver to be taken prisoners for perdition by him.” Thus making them truly “children of perdition”! (Isaiah 28:9-13)
Return to the ancient paths of our spiritual fathers and of our nurturing mothers! For they were robbed of their goods, beaten, tortured, sawn in two and forsaken by friends and family alike! And all to bring all the way down to you through the many centuries by them and through the graces and gifts of the Holy Spirit that dwelt in their earthly bodies The Message of Jesus Christ and of His Church! With the ancient traditions that are in nowise “Non-Denominational!” And no Christian who knows the truth and following it closely and faithfully… to the point of death… even if by martyrdom, is in anywise a “Non-Denominational Christian!” (Hebrews 11:36-38) NAB
Christians are not called, chosen and gifted with true salvation, baptism and by the gifts and graces of the Holy Spirit, to merely become spiritual butterflies flittering and fluttering all about the place with no firm home base in the Church of the Living God which was born by Jesus’ shed blood upon the cross, which then taken into the Holy of Holies to atone for our sins and save all us who will but repent and believe and follow Jesus Christ, taking up our own crosses daily… as well as by a mighty roar and power of the wind and shaking of the earth and Upper Room, making an holy institution and spiritual ark with tongues of burning flames all about the place and landing upon the heads of the loyal gathered there, as well as by the many spoken tongues of many foreign languages, preaching to all of their multi-cultures, even while loudly speaking of The Message of Salvation as well as all the glories of God! And why would anyone want to not be a fellow member of that ancient “Body of Christ” but would rather float about uncommitted and unsure of their beliefs and be “Non-Denominational Christians”?
I have spoken clearly and in your own natural tongue. Nothing I have said is hard to understand for those truly seeking the Lord Jesus and His ways! His ways, not ours!
In the Church I often here priestly messages explaining what the New Birth and being Born Again means for us as Catholic Believers, and because I know that not everyone has grown up in the comfort and teachings of the Church, I speak much more “Evangelically” seeking to get all those that hear me to repent, be baptized and follow Jesus, taking up their own crosses, each one of them, daily! Getting up daily, in prayer, to follow Jesus!
I do agree with the ancient Church but I speak and teach about the New Life and the New Birth, as well as the affect of being Born Again to those who are not Christians and outside of the Church proper, or think they are Christian but are not. But are only spiritually illegitimates born only of the carnal flesh and compromised and unyielding to all proper instruction and paths to holiness. We are called to be “Holy unto the LORD!”
I have found that many claim to be Christian and are not; but they will not hear anything sound in regards to the Truth that is in Jesus our Lord… always following their own ways, while claiming to be Christian! We cannot follow our own ways be Christians!
I live on a city block and on a street where many do profess to be God-loving Christian Believers; and all the while they wonder why I am a member of the Catholic Church and had been an Orthodox Clergyman, as well and a Christian Missionary; but am in nowise like them (these persons on my block at this street, in this city) in action, word or spirituality… so I must be wrong in their estimation? But God has called and chosen all of us to be “Saints” and to strive by all the power of personal desire as well as by the graces and gifts of the Holy Spirit to “Pursue holiness!” and to “Practise righteousness!” as well as to “Seek to be pleasing unto the LORD!” Do you live to love and please Jesus?
We have just celebrated The Most Holy Trinity of our One God, in Three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and what a glorious celebration that was, as well as all of the holy and sacred, ancient celebrations that our Church honours every year, and as for many centuries! How can any other ‘fellowship’ or “church” of denominational and “Non-Denominational” ‘spiritual’ (religious) philosophies count what we do as wrong and spiritual and doctrinal error? And yes, I am and always have been very much a ‘Denominational’ Believer and Christian who follows the “ancient path” of the Church! +
